BMW OEM engine oil filter

Why is it important to use an OEM oil filter?

An OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) oil filter is a replacement part that is made by the same manufacturer that made the original part that was installed in your vehicle at the factory. Using an OEM oil filter is important because it is designed specifically for your vehicle and has been tested to meet the manufacturer's specifications for performance and reliability.

Using an OEM oil filter can help ensure that your vehicle's engine receives the proper amount of clean, filtered oil, which is necessary for proper lubrication and cooling. This can help prevent engine wear and damage, and can also help extend the life of your vehicle's engine.

In addition, using an OEM oil filter can also help maintain the performance and efficiency of your vehicle. Non-OEM oil filters may not meet the same standards for quality and performance, and could potentially cause problems with your vehicle.

Overall, it is generally recommended to use an OEM oil filter for your vehicle to ensure that you are getting a high-quality, reliable product that is designed specifically for your vehicle.

Synthetic Oil

How often should I change the oil in my BMW?

In addition to using the correct synthetic oil, it's also important to follow the manufacturer's recommended oil change intervals. BMW recommends changing the engine oil and filter every 10,000 miles or once a year, whichever comes first, on current models. We recommend a more frequent interval of 5000 miles between oil changes to protect your investment and keep your BMW vehicle's engine in top shape. But the oil change interval really varies based on your driving style.
